Try thinking back these last several weeks, have you been selfish.  I have.  Do you find yourself being more concerned with how something effects you than how it effects someone else? I have.  You are not alone, everyone has selfish moments. Some are subconsciously motivated, and others are just plain blatant.  It is man's nature to sin, selfishness being a sin, it seems natural to want to look out for number one.  Well, we must let this selfish nature go! Me included!  Our example is Jesus Christ, He was not selfish even once. The only time He wanted everything, was the moment He bore all of the sin of the world upon his own back, that is hardly what I call being selfish. So I challenge us this week, month, year, whatever, to try more frequently doing something for someone else. Oh and ask the Lord to help us see when we are subconsciously being selfish. Keep someone you know in prayer this week.  A spiritual battle is constantly being waged that our mortal eyes cannot see.  Because of this spiritual battle we can not know every front of the battle that is being waged in this person's life, but you can guarantee that in eveyone's life some sort of battle is being waged.  So this week, and the weeks to follow, keep the same person in your prayers.  May the Lord richly Bless You!   Daniel Eggers
